Responsibilities
As a member of the Employee Benefits Team, you’ll:
Work closely with your team to reach and exceed the department targets
Be the main point of contact for clients, leaving the directors and consultants to concentrate on new client opportunities by effectively managing administration and workflows
Provide timely client information to directors and consultants which is compliant, accurate and professionally presented
Produce and package accurate new member packs (new business quotations), making sure all supporting literature is compliant
Monitor case/client progress through to policy extraction, credit and commission payments
Carry out annual reconciliations on group pension renewals/flex/group risk and total reward arrangements
Set up and maintain relevant diary systems to back up and support workflow
Identify opportunities to improve internal and external services and effectively communicate these to the director and/or consultant to make the most of all new business improvement opportunities
Provide management with accurate business information when requested
Be responsible for maintaining the accuracy of relevant data contained within the CRM system (1st) and other relevant databases
Maintain phone cover at all times in line with service standards
Essential
To be a member of our Employee Benefits team, you must:
Know about and understand the role of an IFA and its position in the financial services profession
Have a good level of experience in the administration of group personal pensions and employee benefit schemes
Have experience of talking to product providers regarding group risk/flex benefits and pension product queries
Be a quick learner and be willing to take responsibility for your personal and professional development
Have a good working knowledge of all MS Office applications and client relationship management systems
Feel comfortable communicating at all levels and be able to build relationships both internally and externally
Be able to organise and plan your own workload to meet deadlines
Work well under pressure in a team environment
Have good number skills
Have experience of writing suitability letters
Have attained the financial services CF qualifications (ideally 1-5) or FPC qualification
Desirable:
It would also help if you:
Have worked in a Pensions administration/support role before
Have J04 and J05 qualifications or are willing to study for these professional qualifications
Have a working knowledge of 1st Software
