Our client is an IT Company specialising in Life & Pension software applications. They are seeking a new permanent recruit to join them to assist with their communications role. The role fits well with an individual who has previous experience in a sales support function for a Life & Pension Company. The individual absolutely must have worked for a Life Assurance/Financial Services Company and ideally in a sales support role.
High quality communications skills are an absolute must – by telephone and written with no fear of picking up the phone to a range of clients and prospects.
Ensure and/or facilitate contact with each client to achieve mutual understanding of Change Requests (software development CR's) and Incident Reports (software support issues IR's).
Regular contact with each of their clients and executives to gain, maintain and communicate internally our understanding of the evolution of their business and PAS requirements, and opportunities for future growth.
Manage (with the CEO) the process by which they progress quotations through Technical Work Orders to Invoices.
Regular Contact with each client to ensure they are properly updated on progress and issues across their IRs and CRs.
Ensure that each client and executives within each client are periodically informed of news and developments , including facilitating face-to-face visits (predominantly with the CEO and CTO),
Phone calls and newsletters
Research markets and companies in target regions of the world, understanding in as much detail as possible which individuals and companies are of interest to them, and supporting the CEO and CTO.
Run the twice-yearly customer survey, ensuring that the management of the company take appropriate action on the customer feedback, and that customers are aware of how they have responded to their feedback.
Key Skills and Experience:
Very strong verbal communication skills
Good written (mostly e-mail) communication skills
At least five and preferably ten years experience in customer-facing roles in the Life Assurance or Pensions industry
Very proactive attitude
Commercial orientation, confidence and good business Judgment .
Exudes positive attitude and able to facilitate colleagues over whom they do not have direct responsibility.
